WANDA AND THE ALIEN

Wanda and the Alien is a hit children's book that has now been released as a cartoon series airing on Channel 5's Milkshake. Wanda is one day visited by an extraterrestrial who quickly becomes one of her best friends, the series follows the couples adventures around Wanda and Aliens worlds. We were tasked to create a website and a number of games and activities to support the new series. I designed and animated everything in the site except the parents section and mobile version. I wanted to make an engaging experience into the cartoon so decided a parallax site would be the best option. I was provided a library of background assets from the show and stitched them together to create the journey through the website to show important key areas from the world. I initially created a simple animatic to give to the developers to be able to easily edit movements within the site then created the final graphics using Photoshop to stitch them together. I think the final result gives the user a much more interesting insight into the brand than your standard web pages.
