HENRI LE WORM

Henri Le Worm started life as an app promoting healthy eating to a preschool audience using the recipes of the Celebrity chef Raymond Blanc and narrated by Simon Pegg. The creators Olivier Blanc and Charlotte Salt now want the Henri Le Worm brand to become bigger and a more recognised resource for children and schools to learn about food. We were tasked to create a fun but informative experience that introduces Henri's world and includes multiple educational elements on the way. After the success of the Wanda site, I decided to go for another parallax site taking the user from Henri's home under ground to the surface meeting the friends on the way. I designed and animated everything for this project including the parents site for desktop and mobile, the mobile and desktop version of the kids site, two mini games, seasonality chart, recipe book and everything else.

I also created a new character for the brand called Suki the wasp as the creators believed the mosquito was not as strong as the rest of the cast which also appears closer to the bottom of the pictures :)

This site won ‘ Best kids site’ in the Junior magazine design awards, 2015.

Site Walkthrough

Here is a full walkthrough of the parallax site we created. We were really pleased how immersive it felt and think it gave the user a great insight into the Henri Le Worm world.

Henri’s Kitchen Nightmare

I designed and animated the Henri’s Kitchen Nightmare game. The player has to get the food into the matching pots using the spoon tool. They simply need to drag the spoon into the correct pot so the food can slide down the spoon and get cooked. As the game progresses, the food will come faster and the pots will change more frequently. There will also be some pesky flies to swat away too.
