Client - Nestle

At Zappar we were tasked by Nestle to create an experience for the latest Avatar film, ‘ The way of the water’.

This was going to appear on the back of Nestle’s various cereal offerings. The experience had to be something fun and satisfying that kids could enjoy while eating their cereal.

We created an experience where users could grow and nurture their very own Avatar plant. The user needs to place a 3D pot into world space and then water the plant at various times to make it grow. I had to sketch out the different growth stages of the plant as these didn’t exist in the film (see sketches below). They can also switch to night time mode where the plant will glow and Fireflies will fly around the users room.

Each plant has unique animations when the user taps them and there is a photo feature so the user can save their creation to a photo album.
